A recent Money.com article listed the 50 best places to live and gave us a peek into Americans' changing tastes and motivations. We noticed a few prevailing themes on the wishlist of today’s homebuyers. And it's no surprise that we have communities in or near some of the 50 best places to live!

Floor plans that include outdoor kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and home offices with direct access to outdoor spaces are outdoor living trends topping the priority list for homebuyers in 2021.

Inspired by ULI's Emerging Trends in Real Estate report, the San Diego-Tijuana District Council of ULI has created a trends report specifically for the local region. 

Americans are assessing their new housing normal, and as a recent study shows, just over one-quarter of Americans have set their sights on moving to a new city. Of the top 10 metros, Newland has nine communities in the top five; #1 Phoenix, #4 Austin, #5 Atlanta, #6 Dallas, and #7 Tampa.

With spring selling season about to kick off, lower rates will restore buying power to potential home buyers and counteract continued home price increases and economic uncertainty.
