Mortgage Interest Rates Hit 33 Month Low
With mortgage rates this low, now may be the best time to lock in your rate. Just one year ago, we sat at 4.59 percent and now it is at 3.6 percent for the 30-year fixed-rate average. The 30-year fixed rate, which hasn’t been this low since November 2016, has fallen nearly a full percentage point since the first of the year. Worry over the trade wars with China may be the cause of mortgage interest rates hitting these new lows.
