55+ Homebuyers Are Moving to Active Communities with Low Maintenance Homes
Peter Dennehy, Vice President of Customer and Market Research for Newland, updated the readers of Green Home Builder Magazine on what 55+ Homebuyers are looking for when shopping for a new house. COVID-19 has certainly brought some uncertainty, but as Dennehy points out, these shoppers are clear on their moving objectives. They have always wanted quality construction that they can customize to suit their lifestyles, but now have a renewed emphasis on health and well-being. Access to natural, open space within the community as well as backyards and porches to socialize at a distance are some of the top priorities for 55+ buyers.
